What is a BTEC?

Pearson Education Limited is the UK’s largest awarding body, offering academic and vocational qualifications in over 70 countries globally. One of their most popular vocational qualifications, BTECs, are high-quality, practical qualifications that reflect the realities of the workplace. BTECs focus on learning through hands-on experience, enabling students to apply what they learn immediately. Throughout the course, students work on assignments based on real-world scenarios, helping them develop the skills and knowledge that employers and universities value. A BTEC qualification goes beyond just a certificate—it equips students with practical skills that will support them in university, employment, and throughout their careers.

What are BTEC Higher Nationals?

BTEC Higher Nationals are globally recognized qualifications at levels 4 and 5, equivalent to the first two years of a university degree. These qualifications provide a pathway to both higher education and employment. BTEC Higher Nationals offer specialized learning in over 40 fields, providing a cost-effective, vocational route to further education.
